The Board of Perry Township Trustees met in Regular Session on Monday,   

December 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the East Liberty Community Room.  Roll Call: John Brose, present, Terry Cook, present, John Baughman, present and Cindy Stalling, present.  Also present was Doug Henry, Larry Wellington, Dan Ackley, Dan Coats, Linda Baldridge, Bonnie Brose, and Kyle Brugler.

  The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mr. John Brose and all said the Pledge of   Allegiance.

           The minutes of the previous meeting was given to the Trustees to read prior to this meeting.  Mr. Brose asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes and then asked if there were any additions or corrections to the financial statements that were given to the Trustees from the fiscal officer.  They both stand approved by the trustees.

     Mrs. Bonnie Brose reported that Santa as a hit.  The 4th grade from Ben Logan School came and sang also.

     Mrs. Linda Baldridge praised us for doing our jobs.  With that, Mr. Bob Chapman attending our last 2 meetings to see if we were paying excise tax on our fuel and we are not. 

    Fire Chief, Mr. Doug Henry, wanted to order some beanie caps for the department, for when they are out in the old this winter. They are $10.00 each and he would like to get 20.  Trustees told him it was ok, go ahead and order them. 

     Chief Henry also brought up about the weather strip on the side door at the firehouse; you can see daylight under it. 

     Mr. Kyle Brugler brought up about the new contract with Robinaugh EMS.  Mr. Brose made a motion to accept the contract, seconded by Mr. Cook.  Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.  Mr. Brugler will take it up to Robinaugh’s and get it all set up.

     Mr. Brugler brought up about a hot spot on the cell phone that is at the firehouse, so they can connect it to their I-pad.  Then they could use the I-pad for patients to sign their paperwork from runs.

     It was brought up again about an extra person at the firehouse for a 24-hour shift.  We would not need to hire another person; it would just be an open shift that anyone could sign up for.  After some discussion, Mr. Brose made a motion to have another person on at the firehouse for a 24-hour shift on a temporary basis, seconded by Mr. Cook.  Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.

     Mr. Dan Coats brought up about our year-end meeting.  Trustees all agreed to have it on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Community Room.  Mrs. Stalling would like to have all time sheets turned in by Wednesday, December 26. 

    Mr. Baughman reported that Del-Mar Tree Service cut trees in his cemetery (north Greenfield) today and some at the park. 

     Mr. Terry Cook reported that the signs for the Lodge Hall are here.

     Mr.  Baughman reported that they used the new mats at the last funeral and they worked really well.  Trustees are happy with them, much better than using a piece of plywood.

     Mrs. Stalling reported that we received our Certified Paperwork from the Logan County Board of Elections with the results of the fire levy.  It passed.

     Mr. Terry Cook brought up about looking into the County doing some brush cleaning for us.  They have equipment to do this.

     Mr. Brose brought up about Republic has still not picked up the polycarts at the Park.  They charged us another month for them, Mr. Brose will call them tomorrow and tell them, we are not paying for this last month.  Mr. Brose brought up about looking into Rumpke Service and see what thy would charge us for trash pick up. We are not happy with Republic.

     Mrs. Stalling brought up about getting members for the VFFDF for 2019.  Mr. Brose made motion that the members for the Legislative Authority be John Baughman and Terry Cook, the members from the Fire Dept. would be Sandy Wilcox and Dean Moore and the other member would be Doug Henry, seconded by Mr. Baughman  Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.  The Chairperson will be Mr. Baughman and the Secretary will be Mr. Terry Cook.

     The L-U-C member for 12019 will be Mr. John Brose.

     Mrs. Stalling brought up with the passing of Mr. Robert (Pup) McColloch; there is an opening on the Zoning Commission.  After some discussion, Mr. Brose made a motion to put Mr. Larry Wellington on the Zoning Commission, seconded by Mr. Cook.  Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.  Thank you Mr. Wellington for serving.

 

   Mr. John Brose made a motion to pay the bills, seconded by Mr. John Baughman.  Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.
