The Board of Perry Township Trustees met in Regular Session on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the East Liberty Community Room. Roll Call: John Brose, present, Terry Cook, present, John Baughman, present and Cindy Stalling, present. Also present was Linda Baldridge, Doug Mercer, Joy Litteral, Doug Henry, Larry Wellington ,Bonnie Brose James Collins, Dan Coats, Ginny Montgomery, Sandy Wilcox, Victoria Current and Aiden, Tim Stalling, Krystal Current, Harvey Grimes, and Kyle Brugler.

The minutes of the previous meeting was given to the Trustees to read prior to this meeting. Mr. Brose asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes and then asked if there were any additions or corrections to the financial statements that were given to the Trustees from the fiscal officer. The both stand approved by the Trustees.
Mr. Doug Mercer reported that there will be a Crime Watch meeting on Thursday evening and all are welcome.
Mr. Larry Wellington had the paperwork on the Vials of Life. All Trustees are ok with the fire dept. going ahead and ordering these. Larry will place the order.
Fire Chief, Doug Henry, reported that Sutphen is going to take our Rescue truck in on trade; they are going to give us $7,500.00 for it.
Chief had prices for dry hydrant fittings, they are $279.00 each. Each is 6” PVC female dry hydrant adapter w/plug and elbow and 90 degree angle. It was brought up to extend the dry hydrant on CR (Stanford property). Brose made a motion to purchase two, seconded by Cook. Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.
Mr. Terry Cook brought up that the pickup truck is in. The old truck will be donated to the fire dept. Dave is getting it cleaned out before the fire dept. gets it.
We are thinking about putting the old grass truck and spreader on the gov’t website for sale.
Mr. John Baughman reported that flowers have been removed from the cemeteries. Trustees have put up the batting cage at the Park.
Mr. John Brose reported that we would like to meet with the Logan County Commissioners in the next 2 weeks to discuss a different way to pay for how we fix tiles now.
Dumpster Day will be May 12 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon in front of Perry Park. The Mason’s will be serving breakfast at the Lodge from 8 – 10 this morning.
Mrs. Stalling reported that Carl Akey’s lot # 62 in North Greenfield Cemetery has been transferred to his niece Janet Blank.
Mrs. Stalling brought up as to who we want as our MCO for this year. We are currently with CompManagement. Brose made a motion to stay with Comp Management, seconded by Cook. Brose, yes, Cook, yes and Baughman, yes.
Mr. Brose brought up about the Street Light Contract. He discussed about the termination of the contract. If we would terminate the contract, the Township would be responsible for removing their equipment and we would have to pay for this being done. Brose reported that it would cost between $2,500.00 and $2,600.00 to change the lights, and they will not get this done until next year. The new light will be LED’S.
Mr. Kyle Brugler reported that it would look nice to have a flowers box at the horse trough.
