The Board of Perry Township Trustees met in Regular Session on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Room in East Liberty.  Roll Call; John Brose, present, Terry Cook, present, John Baughman, present and Cindy Stalling present.  Also present was Doug Mercer, Linda Baldridge, Bonnie Brose, Mrs. Jennifer Poling and children Sam, Jane and son, and Dan Coats...

     All stood and recited the Pledge of Alligence.            

     The minutes of the previous meeting was given to the Trustees to read prior to this meeting.  Mr. Brose asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes and then asked if there were any additions or corrections to the financial statements that were given to the Trustees from the fiscal officer.  All minutes and reports stand approved.

     Mrs. Poling‘s son, Sam was interested in seeing how the Township works.  This was a project for the Cub Scouts. He needed to talk to someone in the Community and see what our jobs are.  He also wanted to see if there were any Issues with our Township.  The Trustees told him what they do, they spend the tax payers money by taking care of the Park, Cemeteries, the roads, plow the snow, oversee the Fire Dept., etc.   Mrs. Stalling told him that she pays the bills and takes minutes at our meetings.  Sam is working in a certain patch. We thanked Sam for coming to our meeting.

      Mrs. Bonnie Brose reported that she talked to Carol Moon about the squad run that picked her up at an accident.  Mrs. Moon was grateful and praised the Fire Dept. for the great job they did for her.

     Mr., Dan Coats brought up about the Corporate Health at Mary Rutan, where do we stand on that right now?  The Fire Dept. is ready to send Chelsey Laycock up there for her drug screening if it is ready.  Mr. Brose will call them in the morning and see if it is ready.  Mrs. Stalling with the Help of Kyle Brugler got all the paperwork done and faxed in.

     Chelsey will be going to fire school with Jason Epp.

     Mr. Brose reported that the garage door attendant should be at the Fire House tomorrow to fix the door.

     The old engine is in getting work done on it.

     The grass truck has been fixed, it had some leaks, and the work will be covered under warranty. 

     Mr. John Baughman reported that the bases have been poured.

     Mr. Terry Cook reported that the flowers have been taken off the graves.

     Mr. Brose reported that we went through 4 dumpsters on dumpster day. 

     The roads will be being stripped tomorrow.  We are not going to be doing any roadwork next year.  All the roads are in good shape.

     Is the modem for the fire dept. in or not?  Mr. Coats said he did not know.

     All Trustees agreed to close the park on October 31st.

     Mr. Brose reported that the horse trough is now Perry Township’s.  All the paperwork has been done.

     Mr. Brose reported that the streetlights would be changed in November now instead of October. 

     Mrs. Stalling brought up about paying the fire dept. for patrolling on Trick or Treat night.  All Trustees agreed to pay them $50.00 for the evening.

     Mr. John Brose made a motion to pay the bills, seconded by Mr. Terry Cook.  Brose, yes, Baughman, yes and Cook, yes.

   Mr. Kyle Brugler and Mr. Larry Wellington showed up after the run they were on.  Mr. Brugler said that they are still working on getting the modem for the fire dept.v
